Located in a private valley between Dalemain Historic house and the delightful village of Dacre.  Close to lake Ullswater and M6 J40.  William and Dorothy Wordsworth were regular visitors to Parkhouse Farm, then the home of Tom Hutchinson, Mary Wordsworth's brother.
